I’m bad at this

I realized, I am not very good at this blog thing. But I want to keep doing to share my story and hope that it will reach someone and inspire them to not quit and keep doing their best!

I am in the process of starting my personal training company. I have made the decision to not take any clients until I am complete with school. I want to be able to focus all of my time on my schooling and not worry about outside distractions.

But I have started my company called Patriotic Fitness. I have deigned a logo and everything. Next thing I need to do is set up at website for it. Make sure that I can get everything set in stone so that when I get out of school and get my RD license, I can start out with a bang.

I wont have to worry about setting it all up then. I will have if ready to go and just hit the “start” button to get things going.

That is also why I am trying to get a large following on social media. I know a lot of people that have gotten their clients from instagram and facebook. I want to have a large following so when it is time I can put up a post about my business and people will be sending me a bunch of messages to work with me.

That is my ultimate goal, at least. We will see how things turn out!

The Troubles With My Legs

These damn legs of mine. They are always doing their own thing. Its starting to get annoying.

I think they might be listening, my leg just spasmed as I typed that. Uh oh! They are working so much better than anyone said, but never good enough for me.

I try so damn hard to get back to where I was before. Not having to walk with a limp, or stumble around like an idiot all the time. I want to be able to strengthen my legs where they are weak, and I want to do it now!!

I am in the gym every day working out. I work out my legs twice a week, but there are so many time issues that I need to fix. Literally thousands! That might actually be an exaggeration, but still, there are a lot.

I think the one biggest thing that I am going to start working on is my flexibility. What my coach told me, just stretch ten minutes a day, and it will get better and better. That is what I am going to start doing.

Ten minutes a day before I fall asleep, or actually, when I wake up. I will roll out of bed and start to stretch. Get those muscles warmed up for the day ahead of me.

I might be a little over ambitious, but maybe I can do both before bed and right when I wake up. I hate to do things that I am bad at, and stretching is definitely something that I am bad at. Gotta get better somehow though. I know that.

Busy Saturday

Today was a busy day. Not too much on the physical side, just a lot going on in life.

I woke up and went straight to work to get my Buddhism finished for the week. I have another busy day tomorrow too. At least it's my "rest" day.

After I finished my Buddhism, it was time to eat then off to the gym. Pretty good arm workout in today. It wasn't too crowded, which always makes things a bit easier. I still have a hard time moving around the equipment I need. That alone could be my workout sometimes.

Came home from the gym and ate and had my protein shake. Then I picked up the house a little bit (there is still a lot more to do. One of these days Ill just field day the whole house... hopefully.

Once the house was some what picked up I moved outside and started to work on my lawn mower. It had sat for a while so it wasnt working. I took apart the carburetor and cleaned it all out, put it back together and boom! It started right up. Always make me feel better when I can get something working again on my own.

After the two hours of cutting the lawn (it was terribly overgrown) I came inside and showered of and had my last meal. Ran an errand and here I am. Getting myself ready to turn in for the night. Tomorrow will be full of homework, volunteering, meal prep, and hopefully getting to see my best friend! Might need to get up early to work on my homework though. boo!!

School is stupid

So, as you know I am in school for nutrition. Something that I am passionate about and am really looking forward to learning more of. What I hate is all of this stupid general education that I will NEVER use again! These classes are the stupidest things that are only being forced on us to make us spend more money.

The second half of summer I am taking Buddhism and the history of Islam. Why the hell do I ever need to know this stuff if I am going into nutrition. Why do I care how the Quran was created when I want to help people with their workouts and eating habits?

The only reason that I am in school right now is because I have the GI bill that is paying for it. If I had to pay for it myself I would not go because I can get the same information, if not more, by doing my own learning. What I want to do is basically a trade job. I could go to a trade school to learn this stuff with minimal bills and then turn it into a successful career.

My best friend is from Austria and she was telling me that her schooling has nothing to do with general education. She has 3 degrees that took her the same amount of time that it would take to get one degree here in the states. Something need to be changed with this crap.

July!

Well, first half of summer school is done. That was a little tough because I am not really into writing. That is what one of my classes was. A standard college writing class. Granted, I did learn some good stuff but I’m not a writer. Hopefully I did okay on my final project. We will see.

My second class was a physiology class. It was awesome. Great to learn the physiology of the human body. And my professor was one of my favorites.

I’m still having a lot of trouble strengthening my left leg. If both of my legs worked like my right, I would be running around, playing sports, doing what I wanted. Maybe in time I can get that back. I think if I lengthen them and stretch my muscles, they might be able to grow better. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I also have an electric stimulation machine that I should start using more. We will see how it goes though.

Almost time

First off, its almost my favorite holiday! The 4th of July! Hell Yeah America! Land of the free, home of the brave. I am so thankful that I was born and raised in such an amazing place. There are MANY people that take their freedoms for granted. I wish they wouldn't.

Anyways, tomorrow is the last day of the first summer section for school. I am going to make this short because I have a lot to do.

I realize, it has been difficult for me to get through this schooling. I have been doing a lot of classes that I dont care about. It has really gotten me down. Starting in the fall, I will be doing 95% major related classes. I am really excited about that. I came to school to learn nutrition. Thats what I want to learn. Not history, or english. Everyone has their own passion. Those are not mine.

Still in the gym every day trying to overcome these issues that I have with my body. I can touch more on that in the next post. But, time to get back to homework. Keep pushing forward everyone!

Busy busy

This upcoming week is the last week of the first half of summer classes. I have a test on the last day, as well as three papers to write. It has been a very busy weekend. I am hoping to have all three of the papers written by tomorrow so that I can use the rest of the week to focus on studying for my physiology test. I think I will be able to get them done. I am 2/3 of the way complete with one of the projects and about 1/3 of the way complete with another.

I have decided to switch coaches, as I am trying to do a body building competition. The current coach I have isnt bad, I just dont get enough communication from her and I think its time that I switch it up and find someone that is going to be much more communicative and hands on.

It is my diet that I need the most help with. Not deciding what to eat, but holding me accountable for what I'm supposed to eat. I have no problem with the workouts, those are "easy" for me. I just have a problem staying on track with the meals. I think when I have someone that I am more accountable to, I will be able to really get into a grove and stay on track. Just need to get there first.
